An outstanding landmark in Cape Town is the City Hall that dates back to the year 1905. This building is important too as it is where F.W de Klerk announced the end of apartheid in South Africa to the world.
At the magnificent Table mountain eastern slopes is the Rhodes Memorial. This is a granite structure that was built in honor of the former prime minister. Cecil Rhodes also found the De Beers Mining Company. This monument is in the site of magnificent sights at False Bay and Table Bay. Next to the memorial structure is a nice tea room for refreshments.
